Roermond, a beautiful city with a rich history that can still be admired today. A city embraced by many rivers like ‘Maas’, ‘Roer’ and ‘Swalm’, centrally situated within the ‘Euregio Rijn-Maas-Noord. Both Germany and Belgium are both only 10 miles away from Roermond.

The shops in the cozy city-center are open 7 days a week. The largest Designer Outlet Centre in Europe, is located near the city-center of Roermond and only a 3-minute walk from the hotel. The Outlet is open 363 days a year and only closed on Christmas day (25th of December) and New Year's Day (1st of January)
NATURE
Besides water, Roermond is surrounded by woods, fields, meadows and farmland. The scenic countryside of Midden-Limburg is a must, if you like to go for walks or are a bicycle enthusiast. You can enjoy everything the area has to offer and will be shown the splendor of nature reserves like ‘de Meinweg’, ‘het Swalmdal’, ‘het Leudal’ and ‘de Beegderheide’ along carefully laid out routes. The nature reserves with protected fauna and flora are located at bicycle distance from the city. This region has been designated as a valuable culture landscape.
WATER SPORTS
Roermond and its surroundings offers one of the largest water sports and recreational areas of the Netherlands called the Maasplassen. Whether you like to be active in the water or would rather be on it in a boat, the area has something for everyone. For your convenience, there is a quay next to the hotel where you can board a sightseeing boat. In season, the sightseeing boat makes a tour almost every hour.
CULTURAL
In terms of culture, the city has a lot to offer and has something for everyone. In addition to a rich club life, Roermond has; Theatre ‘de Oranjerie’, the ‘Centre for the Arts’, ‘Het Historiehuis’ and ‘het Cuypershuis’ to name only a few. Famous architect Pierre Cuypers (1827-1921) who designed for example the ‘Rijksmuseum’ in Amsterdam, was born in Roermond. He left a legacy of beautiful buildings which have all been restored and are well worth a visit, like the Cuypers museum.
